Retinography

AR etynography , as the name suggests, is a photograph of the Retina, where we can observe the retinal veins and arteries, the macula and the optic nerve .

The images obtained in retinography are a valuable aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of some diseases ocular diseases , such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), among others .

The images obtained in retinography are saved and allow documenting the evolution of a given pathology, thus making it possible to carry out a
more rigorous monitoring of the patient and monitoring the effectiveness of the treatment of the underlying pathology.

Retinography allows the capture of one image of the retina in digital format and in high resolution and equipment used in retinography is designated of retinography.

The examination can be carried out in just one eye (monocular retinography) or it can be carried out in both eyes (binocular retinography).
