Transforming lives with customized optical solutions

Recently, in one of our opticians, we saw a patient with an extremely high degree of myopia: -21D in both eyes (AO).

Cases like this represent a challenge, but also an opportunity to positively impact the lives of our clients.

The Technical Solution: Custom Lenticular Lenses

We decided to use a 1.74 INDO lenticular lens in organic material (Avista Masterlux), a highly specialized solution. During assembly, we encountered some difficulties due to the internal curvature of the lens and the treatment applied, which offered less grip than usual, even with the protectors provided.

It was a real team effort: our workshop colleagues analyzed the problem and concluded that it was necessary to fill the internal curvature to prevent the lens from slipping and compromising the assembly measurements. They used adhesives to give the lens height. Although it was not the ideal solution, the end result was satisfactory, maintaining the accuracy of the measurements and comfort for the patient.
